In the State-run metropolitan center of Corden Prime, memory storage has become a cheap commodity for citizens of rich and middle-class sectors alike. But when Stormshield operative Charlotte “Charlie” Spade must investigate the murder of a pretty young Mem Store technician, she begins to unravel a mystery that is much bigger than she first thought.
